Mentorship for Every Stage of Military Life
PREP provides personalized, lifelong mentorship to service members from the beginning of their military careers through and beyond their transition to civilian life. Through meaningful community connections, we build trusted relationships that foster growth, personal development, and long-term success.
Your path may include new leadership responsibilities, a difficult career decision, a transition to civilian life, or a fresh challenge years after service. Wherever you are, PREP offers a trusted advisor who takes time to understand your goals and helps you plan what comes next. You do not need to have it all figured out before getting in touch.
A Relationship That Starts Early and Stays With You
Too often, service members are expected to make consequential decisions without an independent person to talk them through. PREP builds mentorship relationships while people are still serving, not only when separation is approaching.
That time together matters. Your mentor can learn about your strengths, responsibilities, family priorities, and ambitions before an urgent decision arrives. As your circumstances change, you have someone who knows your story and can help you consider the next step—whether that means growing in uniform, preparing for transition, or finding your footing afterward.
The goal is not to move everyone toward civilian employment. The goal is to support the path that makes sense for you.

Your PREP Jacket: A Plan That Grows With You
Your experience cannot be captured by a job title or a single résumé. The PREP Jacket brings together what PREP learns through your conversations, your service record, and a behavioral assessment to create a personalized roadmap.Depending on your goals, it can help document your leadership and technical experience, identify development priorities, shape a targeted résumé, and track decisions and next steps. It is designed to evolve as you do—giving you and your mentor a shared foundation through different stages of military and civilian life.
“PREP makes a concerted effort to understand who you are and what drives you. Sometimes that takes several conversations, but that is a good thing.”
— Former Marine Corps Artillery Officer
Support That Starts During Service and Continues Beyond It
You do not need a separation date—or even a plan to leave the military—to benefit from PREP. Starting early gives your mentor time to understand who you are, what matters to you, and how your goals are changing. That continuity matters. A mentor who already knows your story can help you evaluate a new assignment, prepare for greater leadership responsibility, revisit an education plan, or approach transition without starting over. After service, the relationship can continue as you adjust to civilian workplace expectations, pursue advancement, expand your skills, and stay connected to a community that understands where you came from.A lifelong relationship. A plan built to evolve. Support for the mission ahead.
